Iowa Harvest

We've relished the relatively cooler weather this summer and the delicious Iowan harvest. We went to Wilson's Orchard for an apple turnover and to pick apples to make applesauce. Julia loves apples so picking them was just as much fun.

Julia ate corn-on-the-cob for the first time (August 17th) which we had bought from a road-side vendor. It was wonderful! We had offered her a cob about a month ago but she didn't want anything to do with it. Perhaps it's because she's never really liked corn. But this time she ate it straight from the source.

Our little "corny" girl.

From the pictures I would have never known that she was corn on the cob newbie. She Looks like an old pro to me. Isn't it amazing what a month can do. :)
