Matrix

In previous years, three to four different kinds of shampoo and conditioner lined the interior wall of my shower. I would rotate through them throughout the week depending on my hair needs for the day. I really have no hair-knowledge behind my reason except for the fact that I felt that if I used the same shampoo every day that my hair would get frizzy and matted down.

I was very proud of myself when I was able to narrow down my selection of shampoo/conditioner to just two different brands. Not only did it shave a minute off my shower from trying to decide which one to use that day, but it also cut down on the cleaning and clutter in the bathroom. Over the past year and a half I have realized that I have found the best shampoo/conditioner EVER.

In fact, it even won the 2007 Glamour Reader's Choice Award - if you base anything you do out of Glamour magazine:)

So here's to Matrix - sleek.lookAny other favorite shampoo/conditioners out there that I should try??

It doesn't matter what kind of shampoo you use. They all contain the same ingredients. So I go cheap on the shampoo. I'm talking buck a bottle shampoo like Suave or VO5. Conditioner, on the other hand, makes a huge difference and I spend a lot more on it. Right now I'm using Matrix's Biolage hydrotherapie and I love it. But I've also liked Redken(for color treated hair).

I find that I have to change shampoos (and conditioners)depending on the place I am living. I use Biotera (Biolage) here in Iowa, but have to use something else in Utah. My hair works much better in Utah.

Ok so not that my 2c matters but here is what I know. Shampoo is not all the same, you have to read the list of ingredients and such. I have used the exact same shampoo and conditioner for 3 years. It does work differently in different water hardnesses, but if you stick with it it self adjusts or rather you get used to it. I use Nexus. I buy it during the gallon sale in the summer and I have had the same gallon of conditioner for 3 years and just recently bought my second gallon of shampoo, definately more cost affective, so total in the last 3 years I have only spent a little over $60 for these two products. I do use the Matrix line for volume and hairspray...I have been thinking about switching to the whole system you may have persuaded me to go for it.

I love Matrix/sleek look, it's one of my favorites! I think the best ever would have to be Bumble and bumble.

Haven't tried this, but I may have to...I'm thinking of cutting my hair off so I'd need something that controls it better! Pantene has been with me for years...like 10. Maybe I should break the habit. :)
